Environmental Science Program

Filling the Growing Need for Environmental Scientists

Environmental Science provides an integrated, quantitative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of environmental systems. The magnitude and complexity of environmental problems are creating a growing need for scientists with rigorous, interdisciplinary training in environmental science. Join our program and become part of the solution.

Academics

The Environmental Science curriculum is shared by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Environmental Science graduates have a solid foundation in biological and physical natural sciences and the specialized training necessary for integrated analysis of environmental systems.

The environmental science curriculum gives me a strong background in the natural sciences.  In my senior case study class, I learned how to look at a piece of land and assess how to farm it sustainably and economically, taking into account the soil and water processes.
